L R HELICOPTERS’ AS350 B3e will be the first delivered into Calgary, Alberta
L R HELICOPTERS has chosen its fifth A-Star aircraft, an AS350 B3e that will join their existing fleet. This will be the first new Eurocopter aircraft for L R HELICOPTERS. The AS350 B3e will support a variety of missions including; Forestry and Wildlife Management Services, Geographical Exploration as well as, Flight Rescue Operations.

The AS350 B3e will be based out of L R HELICOPTERS’ main operation base located at the Springbank Airport in Calgary, AB. L R HELICOPTERS has 7 additional permanent and 3 seasonal bases located throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario. L R HELICOPTERS is poised for growth with their recent fleet expansion and the grand opening of an AMO Centre, set to be operational in June 2013.

L R HELICOPTERS’ has selected various utility oriented Eurocopter optional equipment for the AS350 B3e, including; Dual Hydraulics (increased MGW), Cargo Swing, Enlarged Floor window, Litter Kit, Blade Tie-Down Kit, Aft Cargo Vertical Hinge Kit and Cargo Warning System, Full Length Skid Shoes, Settling Protectors, Cowling and Cross Tube Maintenance Steps, Filters (Oil filter, fuel filter, AFS inlet barrier filter) and a Canadian Audio Package.
The high-performance member of the Ecureuil family, the AS350 B3e outclasses all other single engine helicopters for performance, versatility, safety, and competitive acquisition and maintenance costs. It excels in extreme conditions, with its exceptional lifting capability, high endurance, extended range and fast cruise speed, the AS350 B3e proves its reputation as a rugged and adaptable utility aircraft.
The AS350 B3e cockpit is fitted with a dual LCD-screen Vehicle and Engine Multifunction Display (VEMD), allowing the pilot to check at one glance the main vehicle and engine parameters – thus reducing workload and enhancing safety. The AS350 B3e can be configured, and easily reconfigured, with an extensive list of certified optional equipment for a variety of missions.
